Wobbling eel's

Post by billybaltic »

Thinking of trying a bit of wobbling with eels (half eels) has anyone had any luck with this tactic, it's just that i don't like using them as a static deadbait, i know people have done well on eel section, it's just me with no confidence using them (no luck really) any idea's appreciated, cheers.

I have tried wobble sink and draw with eel in the past and caught the odd fish, using a small 8-12" whole eel, but like your feeling on static's not a lot of confidence. where as on static baits i have eel on 1 or 2 rods. popped up does well.

stick at it with static fishing, fish will come to it .

I would not bother with real eels but use Savage Gears "Hard Eel" If you don't catch on one of them, give up :)

If they start twisting on the retrieve and you use a multi strand trace they will be useless in no time, I had it with nev's Ti wire and I was only bringing in static baits.

rob is pretty much on the money. lures are so good now wobbling is pretty much redundant. especially the savage real range. they actually 3d scan trout/eels.
