No braid allowed

Post by silkypike P.A.C. »

I've been fishing braid that long now I'm not sure what the alternatives are.

I've been given permission to fish a carp syndicate this winter but no braid allowed, so what would people suggest/recommend ?

I wont be live baiting, so pretty much legering or popping up deads

No massive distance casting required maybe 40/50 yards max from any given spot. Water is gin clear , upto 10 feet deep in places. That's all I know so far other than seen a few nice fish laid up in the weeds !!!!

thanks in advance

0,40 of a good Mono will do the Job. I can recommend Broxxline high end.

You'll probably get a million different answers to this one,I'd recommend Shimano Technium black in 15kb,0.35mm,it's only got 12% stetch which is alot less than normal mono
it casts well and sinks good

As above 15lb Daiwa Sensor. A reasonably priced line that can take a fair amount of abuse.
