I have bought some trace making gear, but I have a question about what is the best way to attach the rider hook. On the back of the Drennan wire trace packet, they suggest the following



Is it ok to attach the rider hook like this?

Also, do you guys use a crimp cover, after crimping your hook/ swivels?
