Thanks Alan, i agree with all you say. One point, when i say "move on " when finding fresh shiny otter poo on base stumps, i mean it in relation to a stretch/area of river and "moving on" by walking a mile or two away or jumping back in the car and fishing another stretch. It's just something that i look out for and could be a confidence/paranoia thing in my head

If ever you are fishing Rob and lacking in confidence then its time to move for sure as a confident angler is a happier angler and will catch more by being proactive and so your point is taken
