Post by Emma Hamilton »

Well then .... The Pike Pool has netted it's 30 (th) article .... thanks everyone.

We all love reading writing from the heart dont we ?.

Pool-siders.... we just wont get to read an article like this one anywhere else as it's truely a heart puller. Our Jonno writes for us.

It is a sensation that'll strike a chord with many of us and on lots of levels.

Thanks Jonno, your a star.

Wow..... that's a beautifully written article and straight from the heart.

I can relate with so much of that it's as if I wrote it myself. A good woman and a realistic focus on your fishing makes it a whole lot more rewarding.

Focus your time on places where you've going to enjoy what you're doing and catch what you're after.

Great article Johnathan.

Billy mentioned this contribution to me earlier this evening and suggested I'd relate to it and how right he was.
I met Jonno a few years back and recognised instantly the kind of broken that a man becomes only as a result of a woman. How sweet it is to see him standing tall again and how refreshing that he can open his heart and share some of his inner most thoughts with us here.
Some of the BIGGEST men I've met have proven to be the smallest and vice versa.

(Takes a BIG man Jonno face)

Great read that Jonno....Image

I would think there are a few anglers that can relate to that.

We do sometimes need a kick for us to see whats important...

We anglers can be very selfish in our desire for our sport.
My opinion may offend, but it's only an opinion that may differ to your's.
It doesn't make me wrong.

Thats a great aticle Jonathon......can relate to this......fishing and family are both something to be enjoyed......

I'm lucky , as the wife can see how me being passionate about my fishing, brings out the best in me with other pass times that she enjoys doing, walking, cycling, photography........

She is also very supportive and has even been know to proof read the odd article for the pool!

Well done Jonno!!!!

fantastic atricle! a few similarities to my life but thankfully not to the point where myself and my good lady would split! I have sent her the link and told her to read it as she is always moaning about me fishing...although she knows it makes me happy!

Well done Jonno: I'm glad you finally did it. And as I expected, you
make a fine writer. I have watched you going through all this, and have
felt for you, especially as I regard you with great affection and as a
true friend.

Once again, well done - and keep them coming!

When the green yellow spotted monsters take us over Johnathon, most of us sail close to the wind at times. Thanks for the read mate, it reminds us to take stock of our own fishing now and again.

Good interesting read Jono, well done. Glad that you have enjoyed success locally which also fits in with your new lifestyle. As a few have already said pike fishing can become an obsession and that characteristic features in a lot of the more successful pikers. I wonder if you are obsessive at other things or just piking?

Will catch up in due course ref the PMs and well done also on your new PAC role. Putting something back into the sport too.

I know the story as we've become good friends over the past few years, but to see it spelt out really does hit home on how we can be hipnotised by our passion to fish.

I hope I can keep the balance of family life and fishing on an even keel like you are.
