Nice one Rob, halfway thru clearing my garage. Don't help with my old lady keep dumping anything she or the kids don't want anymore inside. I can remember the day when my car went in the garage. Before i was fishing of course.

Proper organised set up, i'm a million miles away from being that organised.

It takes me an hour just to get the boat out of the garageImage

i like having an hour the night before a trip, beer in handImage sorting out my disorganised mess ready for the morning, its a system of sortsImage

Cheers Rob nice read mate

Another top read.

I'm still in the messy s**t hole of a shed, but I'm just in the process of converted the loft, so I can move a lot of the new gear I'm writing reviews for, up there.

I am also going to add a table for rig making etc.... so maybe, just maybe, I'm on the way to becoming organised....

Have to say that you don't come across as antisocial Rob...

Very good read Rob. I'd expect no less from you. Your garage and general organization put a lot of us to shame including me (OK especially me!) but few people, even when they have done a Spring clean and tidied up, can keep it that way. It's a mind set thing, either you are tidy and organised like you OR you are a run of the mill untidy b*****d like ..... me.

Can quite see why you have taken that route and that it pays dividends. Lots in the approach for the rest of us to contemplate and hopefully learn from assuming we can mend our old ways. Another thing I do is to make lists of things to take on distant trips and check off stuff into the car, surprising how that has often saved the day for me. Bait for instance, or permits.

Thats exactly what I do Phil....

In fact I have got a list that is over twenty years old....

I have added to it over the years, but would not be without it.

It even has what clothes, toiletries, chargers, alarm clock and such on it.. Image

That one kinda thwarted me one day many years back Stew.

All excited at the prospect of launching my new boat "JaConAmba" (Acronym of my Kids names) I arrive mid morning in Norfolk to launch my little cuddied boat for it's maiden voyage only to find no water at the slip and had to watch it ever so slowly creep up over the course of the next 4 hours!
Inevitably I tried to launch it too early and made the wholesaga take even longer still but when eventually I motored off to the spot I'd been pre-baiting I was rewarded in less than ten mins with my BIGGEST River Pike yet!

Me too... maybe I've taken it a stage further with tackle sets. I keep prepacked boxes with cooking stuff, sleeping stuff, tackle spares, boat spares, first aid stuff... so I can get ready for a trip away quicker. I have lists of lures for different venues to speed it all up. My tackle room always has a mess on the work bench as I'm always fixing, servicing or making something. I also make meals and freeze them down for trips away so I spend as much time as I can on the water.

Anyone who knows Rob will know that this level of organisation is an absolute must to ensure that he does not forget things and yet he still manages on just about every journey either to forget something, loose something or leave something behind.

I have filled a garage twice the size with stuff I have gained from Rob over the years. Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
