iPhone remote shutter, bank stick adapter and silicone cover

Post by Matty »

Just purchased a few bits to mount my iPhone on a bank stick for self pics when out roving, simple, light and easy to use

Mini tripod blutooth remote shutter and phone mount £3.99 delivered.

Camera to bank stick adaptor £1.99 delivered. You can swap out the threaded bolt on the phone mount above to use the phone mount with a bank stick.

Silicon case for the shutter remote £1.19 delivered, useful if you're like me and end up covered in mud after most sessions , (a nice way of putting clumsy muppet :laughs: ) .. Cut a small hole and you can fit a key ring.

Replacement shutter remotes £1.28 delivered, cheaper than replacing the battery??

The remotes will work on both iOS and android (only tried it on the iPhone myself), and will operate the camera shutter, also works in video mode to start and stop recording. I find it easier to turn off the auto lock function on the iPhone to stop the screen saver kicking in.

Great solution so far, will have to see how long it lasts, after all, at these prices it's cheap China tat... But works very well and is a small light solution for phone camera self takes.

Now just need to catch something worth taking a pic of... :laughs: :laughs:

I bought exactly the same set up,piece of cake to use,set your iPhone to either 3 or 10 second delay
One hand on the fish, press the button, second hand pick up the fish, cheesy grin and away you go,iPhone takes a 10 photo burst,

Are if you are like me and have the galaxy S5 have been installing the updates the camera as now got voice control.

Put the voice control to on in the settings and when you are ready for the picture say either Smile,Cheese,Capture,or Shoot and after a small delay the camera will take the picture.

Just done the same, so I can use the iPhone as emergency camera or solo if I'm travelling light.

I went with the 'Snap' remote system ( Amazon), gorilla pod phone clamp ( Amazon again) and a Gardner camera thread adapter. The kit is so small it fits in an plastic envelope that had some esp carpy hooks in. The snap remote is so good I got a couple spare to 'mothball'!!

You had the camera (phone) upside down and the forum doesn't flip them automatically.
    • Camera Maker: Apple
      Camera Model: iPhone 5s
      Orientation: Rotate 180
You'll have to use some simple software to rotate the pic before posting.

Any simple software should do it. If you have Paint on your PC that'll do the job. If you have a Mac there'll be something on that too I expect.
