I don't care who your dad is , you're not walking across the river when I'm fishing!

Ive been doing a bit more float fettling, while this dreary wet weather has delayed my usual early spring start to my 'non pike' season.

4AAA Trent Trotters (they might also get used for shallow margin fishing for carp)

Balsa on cane Antenna, Ducker and Trotter.

Experimental colours, Ducker, Perch Bob and Avon

Lovely floats John reminds me of Billy lanes book encyclopedia of float fishing, do you paint the floats green then apply a varnish, or has the varnish had paint added to it, thanks Gary.

The green camo effect is painted directly onto the balsa first Gary, using watered-down acrylic art paint.

Afler very light sanding (just to remove any grain raised by the coloured paint) several coats of clear enamel are applied over it.
