Started with fine lines on the float with single casters....the rudd hammered the bait in the coloured water......
After 30 tiddles......and with the perch switching on, removed the 1.1lb bottom and fished straight throught with whole large lobs on a size 10.
Hey presto!!!! Crucian's

Re: Crucian Carp fishing
The local "bricky" used to give us 2lb+ fish quite regularly, along with Tench to high singles.
Then some useless fookin t**t thought it might be a good idea to introduce.... well you know

According to the EA bailiff who tends to turn up at Kettleby unannounced, it is not a true Cru but the owners beg to differ!

Re: Crucian Carp fishing
Well another cruican session done, two around the pound mark is the best I could get before the heat took hold and the fishing died.
But some interesting results on the perch front on deadbaits (note their are no pike or zander present in this lake)

2lb 9oz perch here on deads in a water with no pike (wanted to be sure though), throws up some nice looking perch.
