Hi my name is Don i live in Carluke , South Lanarkshire and i have fished for pike in lochs all over Scotland my favourites being Loch Arkaig and Loch Awe, I would like to try the canals in Scotland so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Don welcome to the pit 
Canal. Well ive been fishing my strech nearly 10 years in glasgow and one thing is clear. Low doubles are extremely hard to come by. Average pike is 7lb.
Yesterday i had a follow of a 5" pike. Its bloody awefull imo. Better species to target than the pike when it comes to the canal i think.
