Quality Of Lower End Rods ?
What do you think of what might be considered less pricey lure rods?
Fox Rage Warrior , Street Fighter
Korum range
Sonik lite tek
Okuma wave power
HTO Rockfish
I have enjoyed using the korum snapper ul and for the price it's a nice rod
I wonder how much the better rods are actually worth ?
Specially made rods , fair enough

The only ones I have used on that list are the HTO Rockfish. I had one of the original generation and a Revolution version. I also have the Rock Rover travel version. All have seen a lot of use. Seriously good value for money and very capable rods. The Rock Rover would be my favourite among them, absolutely love it.

A bit too heavy for me , I think they may be more suited to pike and saltwater spinning
The Rockfish , for 30 quid , sound like a bargain

Having had bespoke rods made I still pick up my mass produced rods to fish with, horses for courses, they catch me no more or less, though moved away from throwing big lures a long time a go, fell out of love with it.

Re: Quality Of Lower End Rods ?
I love my savage rods, out of all of them they are my fave to use.
I have fair few, the SG2 range is good value for money, the SG4 range is bit more money but you get a lighter slimmer blank.
I have a XLNT2 bushwhacker thats over 10 years old now, some people say they are brittle rods but i haven't found that?
I will not or should be, cannot...be paying £200+ for just a rod...
Fox rods are not bad, but the savage are better.
wont touch a korum rod with a barge pole, looks cheap, feels cheap, snapped one first time out, never again.
look around this time of year you'll find good prices on savage rods, as the season approaches new rods will be released making the 'old' ones cheaper

But I have 4 x 40-100g butch lights.
I think I might have 8 or 9 sg rods thinking about it.

Re: Quality Of Lower End Rods ?
Lower end rods from companies that just concentrate on lure fishing have come on in leaps and bounds in recent years.
Personally, I'd still avoid rods from companies that imo just make lure rods because some people will buy them because they know the brand from other areas of fishing.
Fox and Shimano for example, are, imo, overpriced for what they are when it comes to lure rods, savage and gunki offer far better bang for your buck.

26 lure rods.
I have a couple that i don’t use anymore, but can’t sell due to sentimental reasons, pb came on a fox shad hammer rod, And first 30 on a Dave lumb jerk rod.
But most on them get used, I have a few duplicates of the xlnt rods, as I love using them.
I lure fish for chub, perch, mullet, and zander, so need set ups for those as well.
