Berkley Big Game ?
It's cheaper than sensor in my local shop and whilst I am not as down on sensor as some I find it a bit loopy
Coming from me that's saying something

I haven't used Big Game for many years, but it was always a reliable line that broke well above the stated strain.

Have Sensor for going on the pike reels again this winter. Was always equally as happy with Big Game. No nonsense tough, ordinary nylon that is not fussy with knots. Both break well above stated breaking strain and are resistant to abrasion. Both can be a bit wiry coming of the spool but perfectly usable. Not really much choosing between them. Have paid a lot more for other monos that I either wouldn't use again or have binned.

Probably a few quid more, but have a look at Korda Subline. It behaves very well on the spool and is pretty hard wearing too.

Not used it for piking but I like Asso Bullet Proof. Handles well on the reel and seems reliable. Not too pricey either. https://www.veals.co.uk/product/asso-bullet-proof/

Re: Monofilament Users
Trying gardner GR60 for the first time this year. Used to swear by terry eustace pro gold 15lb green but its now discontinued which im gutted about as it was the best line ive ever used. I hate having to change things that work and dont let me down (especially mono) so im now having to find something i can totally trust again. Gardner gear has never let me down in the past so i hope the line lives up to expectations. I think it was highly rated in the carp scene back in the 90's if i remember rightly?

Never hold discussions with the monkey when the organ grinder is in the room.

I can recommend Big Game been using it for years - recently tried the Korda Basix mono - that's been pretty good and a high B/S vs diameter.

It's good value just wish it was a bit stiffer
Which is what my wife says
