Light in the hand, extremely durable, and well built. I use the 6235 for large jerkbaits and whilst rated up to 5oz, I throw up to 12oz on it. Same goes for the 7013 - I used that mostly for baits in the 3-4oz range.

Most probably the nicest rods out there. they are well balanced, cast phenominally and the range will handle any sized lure you will throw combined with enough power when you need it. I have four still and would not swap them for anything.Get some bought and you will not regret it.

Other rods from other outlets exist but compared to the Axioms they are pants.

They are excellent and the casting weight recommendations on Dave's site are a good guide. I have a pair of the 7013 that I use for 7" minnowbaits, standard dawgs, lighter jerks etc. A pair of the 6824, built longer to 7' - so 7024. I use these for casting heavier jerks, Reps, and big cranks. I have a 6235 built to 6'6" (so a 6635) and this gets used for Mag Dawgs and the heavier stuff, and for twitching big cranks like 10" Jakes. They all cast very well with actions suited to working the lures. My 7024s get used most but that's down to the lure sizes and types I'm throwing. All the fittings are are as durable as the blanks. Had mine for years and they are still going strong.

I have the 2468 version (middle of the range) and only been out with it once, got tied up on other projects last year but determined to give it some use now. The day I did fish it, had 2 jacks, one on the second cast with it! Felt the hits, and it certainly casts crisply. Will feedback more as I learn more.

That will be a 6824.

A 2468 would be two feet four inches long with a casting weight of 6 to 8 ounces!!

Lol of course!
I was playing the right notes, just not in the right order πŸ˜†
My P2 however is a beast, falling in love with flit fishing again πŸ‘
