Hello,

I’m relatively new to pike fishing. I’ve been fishing many times with a more experienced angler and was looking to get back to it this winter.

As I’m based in Liverpool I was looking at getting a day pass for the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

I was wondering if anyone who’s fished the canal has any advice on such as where would be best to start fishing it places to park, best type of lures.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Id go for rubber lures more friendly on pikes teeth , the shad teez are very good , just light jig head for canal probally around 15 gram .
try look on google maps any wider deeper parts or marinas .

Watch out for lures hooks that far too big , get pair split ring pliers can get on temu for 4 quid , they even got scissors inbuilt as well .
Then put your own hooks on would not go any bigger than size 1 or 2 .
