I thought the BRFC had suspended catfish from the record list but the articles says they want the angler to get in touch.

Several bigger than that have come out of UK waters, but my understanding was the BRFC weren't interested; quite a few have arrived in the back of a van from France. Chigborough has had them in there for a very long time. I've probably caught that one when it was a bit smaller, fished the water for a few years. Biggest rats you've ever seen, may be the cats have been eating them
