Pike Pool (76) David Horton
Morn poolsiders,
Well that another English sporting (well done the welsh) failure under our belts, but we use to it. A couple of pints, shots or fish bowls and yesterdays defend is nothing but a hazy hangover.
So squeeze some fresh juice, filter the coffee and and butter a bagel, sit back and enjoy the latest piece from a piking legend.

Re: Pike Pool (76) David Horton
Well done Jason, that is a proper coup for the Pool!
And a cracking read and insight into the mindset of one of the country's most successful pike anglers. I really enjoyed that Dave and these words are possibly the most personally relevant thing I've seen written about fishing:
You’d think that with all the extra time on your hands and with no one to answer to anymore that you’d fish more frequently but my experience is that this is simply not the case! In truth when you’re depressed (and we both were) it seems that the things you enjoy most elude you soonest and seemingly take the longest to find again too?
I think you deserve a big pat on the back Jason for resurrecting the Pool. These past few weeks have seen some excellent reading matter published. Hats off to you!

Good read, I know exactly where you're coming from Dave, good trustworthy fishing partners are very rare indeed, had a lot more takers than givers over the years in the fishing sense I might add.

Once again Mr Horton, you have shown why you really should write another book. And this time, one just about your own piking. You have the unusual ability to catch big pike AND write well about it. Nice one, enjoyed that.
