If anyone has read the Rickards and Webb book Fishing for Big Tench you would have read the section where Barrie described the day he had a enormous catch of Tench from Lough Ree.
I know the area he lodges in well but cant for the life of me get a grip as to where he caught those Tench going by his description in the book.
I thought I had sussed it out but then he states that a friend was coming passed him fro a morning session on the Shannon which totally trew me away from the inner Loughs where I at first thought he was fishing.
Has anyone ever had a discussion with Barrie, (or heard a rumour) about the location of this swim??? I know it`s a long shot but it has always intrigued me to find out.
Regards,
Chris Donovan
