Last trout of the season.

Well that's the trout season over up here .
It's been a hard one this year for me the weather has been insane at times and a 2 month wait for a new axle meant I missed out on a fair chunk of fishing time.
I'm well pleased with guy i caught last week as it came from a crystal clear pool where one wrong move sees them disappear up the tunnel. It's took me 2 seasons to get one of the bigger trout from here .

They are easily the hardest fish to catch I've ever experienced. And there's bigger than him in there .

Cracking fish Fergie! What river do u fish? There’s some cracking brownies in my local river Annan,

That's a trout from a Loch 5 minutes from my house mate. Which has to remain secret as I've already pulled setlines from it .
The only rivers I fish now and then are the Leven and Endrick mostly the Endrick for Dace Roach and the odd Chubb with the odd wee trout. No big trout in my local rivers except the Clyde it's self.

Out for a walk on Sunday I had a wee look at the pool 2 trout feeding hard one approx 2.5lb the other a easy 4 lb.
Normally they'd bolt as soon as I popped my head over but they were so preoccupied they just stayed and kept feeding.
Never mind only another 5 months before I can get at them again.
