I bought three of these a two years ago and within 18 months two them were fooked, line overspills on them too easily, baitrunners playing up and then gears grinding until they ceased up despite trying to give them service, then bought another two and getting same thing happening within the year, badly designed and performing reel imo and really wouldn't go anywhere near them again.
I don't know what other people think of them but am defo looking for a set of shimano or fox in new year!

Si,
Have a look at the shimano Ultegra range, I've been really impressed with both 5500 and 14000's.
Picked up my 5500 XTB's off ebay for a bargin price and loved them so much I brought a couple of the larger ones newer model brand new

cheers Duncan will have a looksee, don't wanna break the bank but when a reel lets you down consistently as the wychwoods have you realise you tend to get what you pay for.i had a twenty on with the newer reel which overspilled and got into a birds nest and had to handline it in from twenty yards, not ideal!
cheers

Another vote for the Ultegra XTB 5500. Really good value second hand. I've had 5 for years now. Upgraded my carp rods but can't bear to upgrade from those superb reels!

Shimano XTEA 10000 all the way
You should be able to find some at a good price on the bay
