Me too, just ordered a copy. Simply got to have a comprehensive library of pike books.

Lovely cover art.
1000 copies though? Should be tricky to shift I would have thought?

Like most of above, a decent book for £18 posted, had a flick through and looks good. Good for the cost of it and someone different to the usual.

Re: Tangles With Pike
So far I've had the chance to read about half the book and enjoyed it all so far (admitting to a slight bias about one of the chapters face ). Dom's writing style is both descriptive and easy to read. It is obvious he has 'walked the walk' of a typical piker - mixing success and failure - but still enduring the hard times because the good ones make up for it.
A really good value book and one I can see myself re-reading, which is more than I can say about several other pike books on my shelf.

One day I'll just erase the tape, wave goodbye and fade away...

Re: Tangles With Pike
I have read most of the book and enjoyed it greatly. The format is one that you can pick up and chose a chapter as it appeals to you as they are all stand-alone. Many of the chapters are about a days fishing with other anglers, some of whom are fairly well known. Chris Tarrant, Bob James, Alex Prouse and Nathan Edgell. So to some extent we read as much about these individuals as we do Dom's approach to piking which is largely with sink-and-draw deads or on the fly. I could relate to much of his observations, in particular relating to fishing Chew.

Re: Tangles With Pike
I bought this book after reading the reviews on this thread, glad I did.
I like his writing style and humour, kind of down to earth.
