No Need to Lie - Dick Walker

Post by Jason Skilton »

A bit pricey at £6.99 on the kindle, but a true classic fisherman's tale.

Lovely story line and characters, but more detail on the fishing.

Top draw!

I had a copy once (sold it on the bay for about £80). I was young and destroyed the dust wrapper. It was mainly brought by youngsters, so it is fairly rare to find a good copy with a good dust wrapper...hence the price.

superb nostalgic read! Got this on Kindle after reading this review, read it in 2 days. Need to remember it's an old book and not to cringe too much when pike gaffs are mentioned!
Good book, perhaps enjoyed most by anglers who remember the age it was written.

Great illustrations of that era in colour. May rebuy if the price is right.
