Bullers lost monster pike.
Does anyone know if a written account of Fred's Lomond beast has been set down on paper?

Yes its in a couple of books.
Probably the best account is by Dick Walker who watched the hooked fish swim past his boat.
Its in Great Pike Stories by Fred Buller on pages 121-127 entitled 'Lost Monster Pike'.
Fred also wrote about it in his book 'Pike and the Pike Angler' page 183-4 along with some very good observations.

I believe their was a video or DVD made by Paul Gustafson in which he interviews Fred about the lost Lomond pike whereby Fred relates the story and makes reference to a big pike that was later found dead, I think the video/DVD carries the same title as his book.
