I used to love lambing when we had the sheep, very tiring though and we did not really have that many, only a couple of dozen.
Great for the kids to get them grounded and to find out what life and death is really all about, upsetting at times mind you when lambs or ewe's were lost but, thankfully that was not very often.

The chap I've been to today has some 750 ewes run in three flocks/lambing groups, the first of which started lambing in February. He took over the running of the farm when his dad retired in 1997 and still loves lambing time. It must be in his blood.

Bizarre, although the Kiwis are even nuttier than us!
Being head-bangers, I'd have thought sheep would prefer rock music - something like Ewe 2, Rammstein, or even Sheep Purple?

How has this popped up on my youtube menu?
VIDEO
That's a bit random. I've never watched or searched for anything similar.

I'm still not sure how the ewe was attached to the quad! Rope was involved somewhere.

Looks like he has her front feet tied back to the metal cargo frame on the back with bailer twine and has her a**e sitting on the footplate, I doubt he was going very far

There was some rope attached to the legs but I couldn't see where it went. Probably travelling about a mile all told, up a steep hill. He's a happy go lucky lad is Luke!

Multi purpose tackle bailer twine, fix fences, tie up stock. Or even as a belt to hold up the jeans
