It's probably taken me two years of trying!! :laughs:

The 'window of opporunity' each day is actually quite short, and finding the right place to stand isn't easy.

The annoying thing is you get the right conditions one evening, miss the shot but work out where and when to take it, go back the next day and the bloody sun is obscured by clouds.

Rudd hunt a couple of summers back. Stalked a BIG disturbance in the reeds for over an hour before a 4lb Common Carp turned up!

That story remind me of the huge tench that took me into a reed bed. It was so big I stripped to my undies and waded out to net...

Wild guess, is the bottom one Rutland?
I can remember Rutland being constructed but back then it was known as Empingham reservoir. A friend and I decided to cycle to school but headed in the complete opposite direction for Empingham to see the reservoir which at the time was just clay lined with this tower standing there prominently.

It's Grafham Martin,
Technically it's straight out going North from the lodge, very similar to both of the Towers at Rutland.

Should get a few more as from next week, as always right at the end of the season the weather is turning mild and settled down here.It will be a drought now until next Autumn. :joker:

Not seen many sunsets this winter with all the grey skies we've had up here. I'd rather have a drought than constant rain!
