Not great photos but it was a lovely summer evening last night. Bootlaces were caught. :roll:

It was on the night of full moon, no bootlaces, no anything tbh :laughs:

When the full moon rises the sun is setting at the same time, something that is easier to see if your on the ocean.
There is also a phenomena known as the green flash that can occur as the sun sets, never seen it myself despite wait a few times with camera at the ready.

I've heard of the green flash and seen photos of it, but never experienced it myself.

One of the benefits of being and angler is being by the water at these times of day when the world seems more tranquil, wildlife is either waking up or going to bed, and the light can be amazing.

That evening I saw swallows feeding over the water, a lone swift and a kingfisher streaking past. Not to mention the forty plus mallards (must have bred well this year) and the bird song I heard.
