I'm feeling very out dated by the camera recommendations here. Still using my G6 for self takes. If I'm just lying the fish on the sling for a shot without me in it I just use my phone.

Re: Budget self take camera
My photography is terrible Bri, even using point & shoot digital camera's I couldn't hit the spot. My mate put me onto an 'iFish' phone photography kit which back in 2019 cost about £12 and consisted of Bluetooth trigger, Phone vice which screws into bank stick and additional lighting/lenses etc. Here's the first photo I took with it all, much improved from the crap I was getting from normal camera's:

The kit can be found here mate:

My mate put me onto an 'iFish' phone photography kit which back in 2019 cost about £12 and consisted of Bluetooth trigger, Phone vice which screws into bank stick and additional lighting/lenses etc. Here's the first photo I took with it all, much improved from the crap I was getting from normal camera's:

Still using my G6 for self takes. If I'm just lying the fish on the sling for a shot without me in it I just use my phone.
