Budget self take camera
Hi, looking to replace my canon s3is with something newer. If I am honest I am s**t with a camera
Or it is with me I have never used it with a bulb release either, maybe that’s where the problem stems from.
I always get shots out of focus, think this because pressing the self timer focuses the camera as soon as button is pressed.
So do I replace it & if so with what? Or do I try it with bulb release to see if things improve massively.
I caught a few p.bs this year & haven’t got any decent shots of them so time to step it up.
Sorry if this has been done to death already.
I would deffo need flip screen & ability to use remote/ IntervalTimer
Cheers
Bri

And one of these pedal releases might work better than a bulb release. I have one and it's a lot less hassle.

I've had a look at my S3IS and it doesn't have the socket for a cable release.

Brian have you not considered just using your phone with some form of adjustable holder and one of the apps that allows you to do self takes
