Nest box activity

Post by davelumb »

There's a female House Sparrow looking out of my nest box and another one has been trying to get in. What on earth is going on at this time of year?

I've not seen them going in and out again. I should have a look inside.

I wondered that but it was mid morning. I suspect there could have been something worth eating in there, like a nest of spiders or something.

Mine get inspected everyday by Blue t*ts and I had concluded they were after insects.

There had been spider webs all around the entrance hole and the rest of the box before the sparrows showed up. Not seen one since!
