Steven Seagull
Breaking down a bit of ground today for a new grass ley.
Gulls always make an appearance with the chance of a free worm or two but I noticed quite a high percentage of them had a limp or a deformed foot (overweight from gusting out on the local tips !!)
Anyone have any theories why this could be

Diabetes. A daily diet of violently appropriated chips is the most likely cause. I have no sympathy.
It could also be snap traps aimed at birds of prey.

Ref the Gulls either Steve’s uneven furrows or the fact they now nest on slanted window ledges

Gulls always turn up first, then Rooks and they seem to get along together although gulls are far more entertaining in the air.

Seen big Gulls rip Leverets to pieces in seconds when mowing.
Once they spot something they hammer away at the head, some power they must have to rip intestines out.

I'd say that Gull was very fit to put up a fight like that - and they say chips aren't healthy

Not sure why so many limp... maybe a parasite. They roost on one leg... so maybe the limpers have recently just come off the roost?
Watch your tractor though as it seems to be catching.
