Lack off

Post by Jock Gordon »

I can safely say that I never saw or heard any redwings or fieldfares last winter, is it just me ,? Or have they just not migrated in large numbers .

Didnt see many redwings but saw large numbers of fieldfares this winter gone. Apparently this winter was a very good one for waxwings, although we never came across any (we werent really looking for them though)...

Good to know they were around, just thought it odd as used to hear migrating redwings at night from October onwards, also big flocks of fieldfares when out fishing but not last/ this year.
