Very nice.

IMO they need a little work in post to give them a boost.

Hope you don't mind this quick fiddle.

I like the first and last ones the most Colin. I think because my view travels from the tree/shore on the foreground on the left and moves right and on into the distance.
Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

First for me too. I said much the same to Colin the other night about this photograph. It works well for the reasons you've given. The tree acts as the perfect focal point from which the eye is lead harmoniously through the picture.

It is a cracker Colin!

I like the symmetry of the band of low cloud and the foam on the water in this one along with the patch of sunlight on the grass- although I've had to crop Image the fence and fiddle a bit. Image

I'm less keen on landscapes where the main subject is smack in the middle.

Tim once said to me on looking at one my landscapes where the horizon was right across the centre, it would look better if was either two thirds sky or two thirds land. I think it's generally true any way I look for it now.

That's works as a rule - the rule of thirds. Although it doesn't have to be 1/3, slightly off centre can work too, and sometimes having the horizon bang in the middle works too. Image

A nice spoof on photo critique here.

If a sky is spectacular I don't mind the land being way less than a third, not so often the other way round that I can think of.
