They're cracking birds tiercel I've had her 10yrs now and still love every minute spent with her.im guessing by you're name that you fly also
Sadly, no hunting for me these days. Due to health issues (mine), it wouldn't be safe for me, or the bird, if a long chase and a kill was involved, so I only fly to the swung lure with longwings.

Ha brilliant!
Couldn't use a gun so I used a falconer who cleared my maggies at nesting time.
His Harris would be sent ip to sit ontop of the bush with the nest in, then we would flush the bird and harry would do the rest, also worked on carrions but they bailed out faster, wouldn't fly straight and fought more.
For mopping up bunnies on exposed areas I just put in fence post around 50yards away and the bird would sit on it until the fryers popped out, switching from one bury to another could get well into double figures in a short afternoon.
Quick, clean and silent.
And I didnt have to clear away the kills
Basically Grant, an imprint is a bird that is reared by a human and will grow up thinking that it is one of us and is our equal.
The main reason for imprinting is for Artificial Insemination, but I won't go into detail or it'll blow your mind, Grant

Never had a lot to do with falcons tiercel,a couple of years ago I flew a gyr/saker for a mate who had a knee replacement,1st time I took her out she disappeared over the horizon and I spent the next 3 days tracking her for miles till I eventually retrieved her from a sand quarry.....
