Is it worth changing thread setting?

There are two options on the Thread settings, are they worth activating?

1) The first post of a thread is always displayed at the top no matter what page you're on - handy if you click the last comment and wonder what the hell people are on about!

2) You can 'overspill' one post onto the top of the next page - so say post No.15 is the last on Page 1, ordinarily post 16 will be at the top of Page 2. With the setting activated, post 15 would appear at the bottom of Page 1 and the top of Page 2. Not sure I've explained that very well!!

I think the first one is a pretty good idea, having both options activated might make it cluttered because effectively you're looking at two duplicate posts before the next new post starts.

Any thoughts or opinions? We'll just go with the majority vote as always.
