I like simple. Fiddly to make but definitely simple. The hardest parts are finding suitable diameter tube and heating it to put the curve in. Flaring the ends over with a ciggy lighter is easy. There's no need for the clip to be centralised or fixed.

Replace the wire contraption by sliding a John Roberts link ledger bead and clip onto the rig tube before heating and bending it.
