Hello everyone,
I'd like to ask you a quick question. Is it normal that plastic straws are still served with drinks in restaurants? Shouldn't they be banned? Other establishments, for example, use pasta straws or bamboo straws, but I can still see some restaurants using plastic straws.

Re: Plastic straws
As anybody who has young kids will surely agree, I'd happily plant a tree every week if they bring back plastic straws for capri- suns and other bairns' juice.
I've had more than enough of squawking mini maniacs jumping at you and moaning for a drink while you fumble with the useless strips of paper that are taped to the side of cartons these days. I've resorted to just bursting a hole in the side with a key and let them squirt it about the place.
