Jerkbait 110

Post by Rammer223 »

Picked up some smaller jerkbaits as I have been enjoying fishing the larger stuff, the ones I am currently trying are the westin ones and having been out this morning like them they hang nice with the nose down sink real slow, so think they should be good, but sadly don’t think my rod was best suited, so excuse to buy another rod, so specifically for fishing small jerks casting rod I think, as always your thoughts and experiences welcome save me making expensive mistake, I did have google Megabass do specific job for 110 but like all mega bass stuff seem impossibly to purchase in the Uk
Thanks in advance lee

The Shimano xpride 610m seems to get decent review as small jerkbait rod but again not easy to find

Smallest jerk baits I use are 60 to 70g. You may want to be more specific with your questions, as it's now evident you're talking about tiny bass lures. Jerk bait 110 and most are thinking 110g. We're mostly pike anglers on here. I was going to say I use and recommend a 7'7" Daiwa Prorex AGS rated 30-70 and a Curado 201 XG M for smaller jerk baits :laughs:

Do you mean :https://www.sportfishtackle.nl/nl/artik ... asagi.html ?
If you do, any rod that can cast up to 25/30 gr can do this. Maybe a bit stiffer rod for twitching.

I've ordered from Japan many times (mostly from Japan Tackle). Service was exceptional and delivery pretty swift.

You are talking about Ito Vision 110 type jerkbaits (twitch baits to us), fantastic lures for big perch and Zander if fished properly, not particularly good for pike though

I use the Megabass 110 Stick, brilliant rod but like I said it isn’t really a suitable method to target pike
