Fishing a new small lake for Perch, and been recommended to try popped up lob worms. Does anyone have any advice? Rigs, methods etc. Thanks!

Easy enough to pop them up with air. But was worried about using a ssg shot at the resistance as they dont like that - but whether they would feel it I dont know.
Foam could be a worth a try - thanks.

As previously mentioned just inject them with air, known round our way when we used them many years ago as junkied lobs, a deadly method at times, just be careful with the syringe.

Re: Popped up lobworm
My go-to method. Over the years, using a running leger with 1.75 or 2 oz lead on ceramic run-ring, I’ve found that the sweet spot is 3-4” off the bottom anchored by a large shot or small olivette on a 10” hooklength. That’s for a clear, silty bed; I go inch or two higher if there’s silkweed or lots of fallen leaves as at the moment. Just a shot of air in each tail; too much and my (painstakingly logged) catch rate decreases because the bait wafts somewhat unnaturally high, I believe. I accept that the latter might just be a figment of my fevered imagination given how others report success with Dyson-type rigs…
Hope this helps
